Hi there!
My name is Lee, I am a senior at the State University of New York at Fredonia, better known as SUNY Fredonia. I am a Writing Major and Social Media Minor, projected to graduate in three short months.
Now I know what you’re thinking, writing, and social media? What on earth do I study? Well, I’ve been working long and hard for a degree many people say is silly and useless, but the reality is, I love it!
I write a little bit of everything, from short stories about a man slowly going insane, to poetry about being trans and accepting one’s self-identity. Currently, I am finding the motivation to return to my first novel, which I am slowly working through the second draft of.
On the social media side, I learn about public relations strategies, how to run a successful website (wow, who could have thought that?), and overall, what kind of marketing jobs are out there for me as a writer once I graduate.
Some things I’m passionate about are art, creating videos on YouTube and TikTok, and Snoopy the dog. I like iced coffees, journaling, my cat Winston, DND and MOTW, and hanging out with my friends. Most of whom are the inspiration for this exact website.
In the fall of 2025, I started a magazine for an editing and design class entitled The Gay Agenda. I thought it was a funny play on words, considering so many people use that statement as hateful or derogatory towards members of the LGBTQIA+ community. However, I wanted to use it to spotlight queer people in media, which is exactly what I did.
Twenty-four pages of glossy paper just wasn’t enough, and now here I am, stuck on this idea of representing the people who need it.
As a proud member of the queer community, I strive to make this a safe space to talk about all the things I like (much of which falls under the queer umbrella). From shows like Stranger Things, to movies like Bottoms, I want to highlight all the queer people within the community, far and wide. Marsha P. Johnson, David Bowie, Chappell Roan, Pedro Pascal, and many more people have contributed to the world we live in, so here we can talk about all those things on our gay agenda!
However, that’s not what this post is about. It’s about me!
(I get ahead of myself sometimes).
For now, I am getting ready to graduate, hopeful for the future while finishing my last semester of college. I am beginning a new internship as a writer for the Buffalo Hive, making this website, and taking an art class that I’m very passionate about. Not to mention, I’m spending as much time with my friends as I can outside of work and classes before we all return home.
As for after that? Who knows. I will be moving back to Northern New York and desperately begin looking for any source of employment I can get. Specifically with writing and media management as a forefront, but who can be picky in this economy?
I am going to enjoy it while it lasts, and work as hard as ever while I write about gay people and the ways we are so special! I am very excited to see where this little adventure takes us, and hope that you are just as excited about it as I am.
